商品簡介
The authors hold that educators and others involved in adolescent literacy need to understand evidence-based principles to develop effective curricula. Working through eight guiding principles, they find that adolescents need to be actively involved in their learning environment and have clear perceptions about its purpose and that adolescents need respectful environments with high expectations and trust, both print and non-print text, rich understandings of ideas, enthusiasm, self-assessment, learning in and out of school, and critical perspectives. The authors include practical guidance on supporting principled practices. Annotation c2006 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
