Macroeconomic Policy Formation in Africa

Presented by the Research Group on African Development Perspectives Bremen and contributed by economists from the Middle East, Africa, and Germany, the nine essays in this volume detail new macroeconomic policy frameworks for Africa, with an emphasis on those for sustainable and inclusive growth. They discuss major issues of macroeconomic policy conduct in Africa, including domestic policy-making to make macroeconomic policies more employment-focused and supportive of sustainable and inclusive growth and policy reactions to external and internal shocks like the Euro crisis and economic globalization and governance trends as determining factors of macroeconomic policy conduct.
