English poet Gower (1325-1408) wrote voluminously in Latin and Anglo-French as well as English, consciously making himself an artistic master in the three main languages of his time and place. R.F. Yeager (English, U of West Florida) presents an edition of two of his French collections, with facing pages of English translation. The texts are Traitie selonc les auctours pour essampler les amantz marietz and Cinkante Balades. Medieval Institute Publications, at Western Michigan University, published the book for The Consortium for the Teaching of the Middle Ages (TEAM) at the University of Rochester.
