作者簡介
As a child Alma Flor Ada had many imaginary conversations with storybook characters. Many years later, upon finding her grandfather's letters to her grandmother, she discovered that correspondence can tell quite a story. This book was originally conceived during the long drives from her mountain home in Lake County, California, to the University of San Francisco, where she is a professor. Alma Flor Ada's previous books for Atheneum include The Gold Coin (Christopher Award 1991), The Unicorn of the West, Serafina's Birthday, and My Name Is Maria Isabel.
