商品簡介
B&w historical and contemporary photos and detailed captions tell the story of the creation and preservation of the 1877 sailing ship Elissa, a freighter which was rescued and restored by the Galveston Historical Foundation. The photos, many of which have never been published before, come from the Galveston Historical Foundation's archives, as well as personal collections held by individuals who worked on the restoration and descendents of the ship's former owners and captains. A glossary is included. Voss has worked on the ship's restoration since 1980, first as a volunteer foreman and then as director of the Texas Seaport Museum.
