作者簡介
Derina Holtzhausen (Ph.D. University of Johannesburg, South Africa) is professor and director of the School of Media and Strategic Communications at Oklahoma State University. Holtzhausen joined OSU in July 2008 after serving for 11 years at the University of South Florida as graduate studies director and associate professor.
She teaches courses in public relations, strategic communication management, and research at undergraduate and graduate level and serves as the co-editor of the International Journal of Strategic Communication, which she co-founded. Before joining the University of South Florida in 1997, Dr. Holtzhausen, a native South African, practiced communication in that country for 25 years as a journalist, a partner in an advertising and publicity agency, and a communication executive in both the public and private sectors in that country.
Ansgar Zerfass is a full professor of communication management at the University of Leipzig, Germany. Prior to taking up this position in 2006, Zerfass worked in management positions at various companies and institutions for more than ten years, and was a honorary lecturer (Privatdozent) at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany, as well as a visiting professor at Hong Kong Baptist University and Bournemouth University.
Zerfass holds a university degree and doctorate in business administration and a second doctorate in communication science. He has received awards both for his academic work and his communication campaigns, among them the Ludwig-Schunk-Award for economic science, the German Public Relations Award and the German Multimedia Award. He is engaged in various professional organizations and academic bodies on a national and international level, including serving as executive director of EUPRERA (the European Public Relations Education and Research Association), as co-editor of the International Journal of Strategic Communication, and lead researcher of the Annual European Communication Monitor, delivered in more than 40 countries.
