商品簡介
Meyer describes and discusses evidence for poetic organization within a corpus of texts corresponding to an early date of recitation in the Tahitian language. His findings might serve as a stylistic baseline against which to compare the poetry of later periods. An automated method of poetry pattern detection generated candidate patterns. These were subjected to several rounds of manual review in order to identify patterns representative of the poetic use of language--in contrast to a random distribution or to an organization similar to that used in prose. The study covers meter, sound parallelism, syntactic and semantic parallelism, and manner of composition. Annotation c2014 Ringgold, Inc., Portland, OR (protoview.com)
