商品簡介
In 1895, five men--a politician, a professor, two students, and an interested citizen--left Lawrence, Kansas for a summer expedition to Wyoming hoping to find dinosaur bones. Kohl, Martin, and Brinkman draw on their educational backgrounds, professional experiences, and interests in paleontology to produce an edited version of the diaries of two of the participants. The text includes an introductory essay by the editors providing a context for the journals, maps, and extensive endnotes. Illustrated with b&w photographs. Academic but accessible to the general reader with an interest in history and/or paleontology. Annotation c2004 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
