This volume reports on excavation carried out in 2005-2007 in advance of rail line construction of a wealthy Augustinian nunnery founded in 1150 (and later expanded). A church and surrounding buildings are described, with additional chapters on the pre-Roman and Roman landscape and remains, and the dissolution of the priory and subsequent use of the site. Detailed reports of the various finds are given in appendices. The volume is oversized (8.5x12") and well-illustrated with drawings, maps, plans, and tables and b&w and color photos.
