Multidimensional Databases ― Problems and Solutions

Multidimensional data is that in which a given fact is quantified by a set of measures obtained by applying one more or less complex aggregative function to raw data. Researchers in various disciplines who specialize in multidimensional databases were invited to share methods and findings of their investigations. The 13 studies introduce properties and peculiarities of such databases; and reveal the history, current state, and future prospects of the field.
