商品簡介
This is a sociolinguistic study of patterns of English language usage on Facebook and their variabilities in relation to gender and age and across the cultural divides of native speakers in Britain, Indians who speak English as a second language, and Polish users as representatives of the English as a foreign language category. English language use is analyzed for each group as regards the length and topics of posts, character and frequency of use of polite speech acts, the presence of emotionality markers, and character of informal language features, and code-switching.
