In this book, editors Sidoli and Bovensiepen present students, academics, and mental health professionals with an examination of how and why psychological and physical abuse suffered by children erupts in destructive and violent behavior in adolescence or adulthood. The authors have organized the selections and sections that make up the main body of the text in two parts devoted to individual adolescent psychotherapy in private and clinical practice and inpatient and outpatient adolescent psychotherapy in institutions. The late Mara Sidoli was president of the Jung Institute in Sante Fe, California and the director of the Institute for the Advancement of Analytical Psychology.
