商品簡介
The 'institutions' referred to in the title of this economics reader are not organizations, but rather the normative scaffolding created by socially-held ethical stances, the laws that enshrine those stances, and the rules that arise to support those laws and stances. The book is a collection of photo-reprints of 46 economics articles that broadly inform and are foundational to the title topic, with original publication dates ranging from 1938 to as recently as 2008; the bulk of the articles are from the mid- to late-20th century period. They are arranged into topical sections entitled Institutions; Law and Economics; Externalities and Market Failure; Welfare Economics; Institutions as Instruments of Public Choice; Property Rights and Property Regimes; and Institutions in Environment and Development. An introduction by editor Bromley frames the collection and provides brief overviews of the topical sections. Annotation c2014 Ringgold, Inc., Portland, OR (protoview.com)
