Although modified by advances in research and new technologies, concepts built by environmental economists of the 1970s and 1980s still stand, including conducting experiments that protect people and nature without wasting resources. This collection of 27 articles and very interesting discussions focuses on the latest research on the behaviors of experimental environmental economics and addresses tradable permit markets, common property and public goods, regulations and compliance, and valuation and preferences in the field. Papers address experimental evidence under variable output capacity of emission permit trading, buyer and seller liability in trading, water and salinity rights trading, communication and the extraction of natural renewable resources with threshold externalities, behavior in environments with costly monitoring and sanctioning, managerial incentives for compliance with environmental disclosure programs, congestion pricing and welfare, rationality spill-over, hazard risk perception, and a tale of two calibrations in the forecasting of hypothetical bias.
