JENS STEFFEK is Assistant Professor at the Center for European Law and Politics, University of Bremen, Germany. Before coming to Bremen he was a Research Associate at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies in Florence, Italy. He is the author of Embedded Liberalism and Its Critics (Palgrave Macmillan, 2006) and co-editor of Civil Society Participation in European and Global Governance (Palgrave Macmillan, 2007). His articles have appeared in Acta Politica, European Journal of International Relations, Government and Opposition, and the Journal of International Relations and Development.
