In this first volume in a new series, Bazerman (education, U. of California at Santa Barbara) writes of the radical basics of writing which synchronizes with skill to produce a rhetoric of both seeking and writing. He examines how knowing where you are and when you are produces the intertextuality and social factors of texts, and how changing the landscape can reveal emergent motives, situations, and forms.
