Integrated Product, Process and Enterprise Design

This book details innovative approaches that will significantly improve design/manufacturing technology development and deployment capabilities for civilian as well as defence applications. The proposed approach is an Integrated Product, Process and Enterprise Design (IPPED) initiative that will greatly enhance the manufacturing competitiveness of an economy. This approach involves the use of simulation and modelling tools and computerised virtual workstations in conjunction with a design environment, allowing researchers, manufacturers and suppliers to work within a comprehensive network of shared knowledge. Such an approach will permit complete product design, manufacturing process design, and customer satifaction predictions effectively and efficiently.
