Stephen Wagg is a Professor in the Carnegie Faculty of Leeds Metropolitan University, UK. He has written widely on the politics of sport, childhood, comedy and leisure. His latest books are The New Politics of Leisure and Pleasure (edited with Peter Bramham, Palgrave, 2011), and The Palgrave Handbook of Olympic Studies (edited with Helen Lenskyj, Palgrave, 2012).
Jane Pilcher is Senior Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Leicester, UK. She has published widely on gender, generations and childhood. Her books include Age and Generation in Modern Britain (1995) and, with Imelda Whelehan, 50 Key Concepts in Gender Studies (2004).
