商品簡介
In this book, Dianne Whelan, Canadian filmmaker, photographer, author, and multimedia artist, returns to Mt. Everest to document her personal experience and the experiences of other climbers. Through interviews with those preparing for their individual treks at Base Camp (a site halfway up the mountain where climbers wait for a safe window of time in order to keep climbing), Whelan captures the climbers’ hopes and fears, as well as the effects of human presence and climate change on the mountain over the years. Whelan spent 40 days in total at Base Camp to document these stories through film and this book. Distributed in the US by Partners West. Annotation c2014 Ringgold, Inc., Portland, OR (protoview.com)
