This archaeological report describes the Hellenistic and Persian pottery of ca. 525-110 BC found from excavations of Schechem (modern Tell Balatah, Israel). The purpose of the report is primarily to present pottery typologies based on stratified deposits that can aid in dating the occupations, structures, and material remains of the site and to develop the typologies in order to aid in dating archaeological remains at other sites in Palestine and the ancient Near East. Nancy L. Lapp is Curator Emerita of the Kelso Bible Lands Museum at the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Lapp became Curator Emerita in 2000 after serving as the Seminary's museum curator since 1970. She has a bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati and a master's from McCormick Theological Seminary.
