In this monograph, Grebenikov (Russian Academy of Sciences), Mitropolsky (National Academy of the Sciences of Ukraine), and Ryabov (Moscow Institute of Auto and Highway Construction, Russia) explore methods for analyzing nonlinear, multifrequency differential equations with small parameters. Averaging methods in combination with asymptotic representations, based on work done by Bogolyubov in the 1930s, are discussed. Also examined are methods based in numerical converging iteration procedures of Lyapunov and Poincare. Applications of their methods to questions of nonlinear oscillation are also described.
