商品簡介
Within the realm of public housing in Britain, Uguris explores three theoretical issues: the social divisions in the social space and how they are projected onto the spatial, notions of the community, and empowerment; decision making processes in the context of the state and bureaucracy and their relation to society and the concept of citizenship, and therefore the relation between the state and society in terms of state provisions including housing; and decision-making in the context of organizations that establish direct relations with citizens as part of the state's provision of public housing. In addition to analyzing larger patterns, she cites case studies of several housing cooperatives. Annotation c2004 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
