吳宗森、王均義、于廣亮編著的《大學物理實驗》的物理實驗之基本知識討論了有關實驗誤差的許多問題，包括實驗不確定性的來源，誤差的定量計算和分析，以及數據作圖和曲線擬合的有關問題。本書的物理實驗包括了物理學的三大部分：力學和振動、電學、光學。本書一共有十四個實驗，每個實驗都由目的（Purpose）、理論（Theory）、實驗設備（Apparatus）、實驗步驟（ProcedLlre）和計算（Calculation）組成。我們格外重視訓練學生的分析能力，特別是分析物理測量中不確定性（Uncerrainty）的來源和誤差的定量計算。全書以英語為主，但是照顧到不同層次學生的實際需要，在全英語敘述實驗之后，我們還用中文的“實驗簡介”、“科技詞匯”和“注釋”對實驗做了詳細介紹，也對實驗中的疑難生詞和句子加以解釋。
