Biomedical scientists are the foundation of modern healthcare, from cancer screening to diagnosing HIV, from blood transfusion for surgery to food poisoning and infection control. He has been a council member for the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) and is currently a specialist advisor for cellular pathology and the Deputy Chief Examiner for Cellular Pathology for the IBMS.
