商品簡介
Andersen (educational development, U. of Aarhus, Denmark) et al. compile six essays drawn from a conference held in Copenhagen in May of 2004, "Culture and Language Learning," organized under the Danish Language and Culture Network. The essays address new approaches that emphasize how foreign language courses should focus less on national identity and more on linguistic and cultural communication. Contributors in the fields of education, language, and culture from universities in Europe and the US examine how culture is studied within the field, transnational perspectives, the role of narrative in spoken and written language, second language learning theories, the use of film dialogue for learning, and materials in French textbooks for Danish learners. There is no index. Distributed in the US by The David Brown Book Co. Annotation c2006 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
