Fleming describes what is happening regarding relations between Christians and Buddhists on the ground in Thailand through case studies. He critically examines the issues of inter-religious encounter that arise in the cases, places those issues in the context of both the history of Buddhist-Christian encounter in Thailand and contemporary Thai society, and explores the significance of the cases to he wider concern for better inter-religious relations. Kenneth Fleming is a Scottish theologian, who has lived and worked in Asia. He has been involved in Buddhist-Christian dialogue at the grassroots and in academia for many years and has wide experience of Japanese and Thai forms of Buddhism and Christianity.
