The well-waymarked 512km route leads to the historic French cities of Nancy and Metz, crosses into Luxembourg then continues through the spectacular Mosel gorge, where the river cuts a sinuous path between the Hunsruck and Eiffel Mountains. Suitable for all experience levels, the cycling is straightforward and mainly on asphalt cycle tracks. As well as its main route, the guide provides three alternative stages and two stage-length excursions through the Saar and Rhine gorges.
