商品簡介
Finding that the study of Henry James' (1843-1916) novels has occupied scholars to the detriment of his nonfiction work, Buchholtz explores some of the neglected aspects of his work, and at the same time interrogates the traditional formula of literary biography. James' life and writing were very closely intertwined, he says, so he addresses both in a manner that neither simplifies nor closes the debate about him as a man and a writer. He discusses auto/biographical studies, all of James' biographers, Jamesian auto/biographies, and a photographic remembrance. Annotation c2014 Ringgold, Inc., Portland, OR (protoview.com)
