Frida in Magic Land

Frida Cahto embarks on an adventure to understand her human. The garden's meditating spider, Bhodvi Rachnid, tells Frida that the meaning of life is 47 and counsels her to see the world through human eyes, but the cat's perceptions only serve to muddle things. In Magic Land, the Fairy Trees serve as mirrors to Frida and help the cat to see and love herself more deeply, and to assist her in expressing her own authentic beauty through art. Frida returns to the garden where the wise spider divulges the true meaning of 47. Perturbed that the spider continues to call her Grasshopper, Frida threatens to eat him. Many of the illustrations in the book utilize innovative photographic techniques, shooting photos through filters and capturing distorted reflections off of metal.
