商品簡介
This book covers quantum mechanics in macroscopic systems, focusing on quantum fluctuations and localization by quantum interference. Based on elementary quantum and statistical physics, the book points to the universal characteristics of fluctuations and the localization mechanism. General concepts and methods are stressed, such as scaling laws for distribution functions. Early chapters give a broad overview of phenomena and offer qualitative explanations with little formalism. Later chapters offer a systematic approach to modeling and transport theory in mesoscopics, covering localized and delocalized systems, corrections at finite conductances, finite size scaling, and real- space normalization.
