商品簡介
Mentxaka analyzes the career-defining influence of the Basque Country on the work of Irish writer Kate O'Brien (1897-1974) and the relevance of the postcolonial imagination to her novels. The novels put into question some assumptions about postcolonial literature and postcolonial writers, she says, and test the potential of postcolonial theory to reach into and beyond itself. The study itself is in Spanish, but an English translation of the preface considers the postcolonial traveler, definitions, Kate O'Brien as imperial writer, Kate O'Brien as a champion of Basque rights, and hybridization.
