Lew Freedman is a veteran sportswriter and former boxing writer for The Philadelphia Inquirer who covered the sport in the late 1970s and early 1980s when Philadelphia fighters were virtual kings and boxing was experiencing a golden era. The author of more than 60 books, Freedman has also worked on the staffs of the The Chicago Tribune and The Anchorage Daily News, and has done freelance work for The Ring magazine and Boxing Illustrated.
