Physical Examination of the Shoulder ― An Evidence-based Approach

This text presents a comprehensive and concise evidence-based and differential-based approach to physical examination of the shoulder in a manner that promotes its successful application in clinical practice. The first section illustrates the relevant pathoanatomy of the shoulder girdle as it pertains to both physical examination and differential diagnosis. Each subsequent chapter within this section highlights the most important and currently understood pathoanatomic features of the indicated structure. This introductory section provides a solid basis for future comprehension of the various physical examination techniques. The second section provides up-to-date, evidence-based information presented in a concise and digestible manner such that successful clinical application can be achieved. The following chapters will be divided based on each pathoanatomic site, each having a corresponding video highlighting the relevant physical examination maneuvers.
