Thomas Sowell is the Rose and Milton Friedman Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution and has taught economics at Cornell, UCLA, and Amherst. The author ofIntellectuals and Society and the classic Basic Economics, among others, Sowell lives in Stanford, California.
