The studies reflect recent research trends in the description of Ethiopian languages, all dealing with linguistic problems at the interface of morphosyntax and semantics/pragmatics. More precisely, they analyze interrogativity, complex predicates, and finiteness in Cushite, Semitic, Omotic, and Nilo-Saharan languages.
