This volume presents empirical studies, exegetical and historical investigations, contributions on practical theology and religious education gravitating around the concept of ‘lived religion,’ which suggests fresh attention to the body, perception, experience, everyday life, and biography.

Heinz Streib is Professor of Religious Education and Ecumenical Theology at Bielefeld University. There he has established the Research Center for Biographical Studies in Contemporary Religion. His research foci are faith development theory, deconversion, spirituality and religious transformation. Astrid Dinter is professor of Protestant Theology / Religious Education at the University of Education in Weingarten and pastor of the Lutheran Church of Bavaria.
