Elisabeth Waghall Nivre is Professor of German Literature at Stockholm University. She has published extensively on early modern literature written in German. Her research interests include areas such as gender studies, biographical writing, travel narratives, the Early Modern prose novel, poetology, concepts of space, and knowledge construction. She is the author of Women and Family Life in early Modern German popular Literature (Rochester, NY, 2004) and Wissenstransfer und Wissensaustausch in der nahen Fremde: Berichte deutscher Reisender in Schweden in der fruhen Neuzeit in Der reisende Europaer (2014).
