商品簡介
White (geography, Frostburg State U.) explores the origins and developments of nation-states from medieval Europe to the present day. He argues that studies of nationalism have lacked a needed focus on how nations derive their identities from particular places and territories and discusses the role control of these territories plays in maintaining a health sense of national identity. He also discusses the ideological competition between nationalism, Marxism, and older structures of dynastic imperialism and established religion and the importance of geography in determining the outcome of these battles.
