商品簡介
The series provides students and researchers orientation in their study of Anglophone literary texts. This volume introduces intermediality research, which has been expanding since the 1980s. Most of the studies consider text and image, with sections on ekphrasis, literature and photography, literature and moving image, literary visuality and intermedial framing, and intermedial narration: text-picture combination. Other sections cover music, sound, and performance and intermedial methodology and intersectionalities. Among specific topics are medieval ekphrasis in Chaucer's Knight's Tale, 20th-century American literature and photography, intermedial encounters in the contemporary North American novel, contemporary British theatre and intermediality, and non-verbal semiotic modes and media in the multimodal novel.
