Rogue River

Rogue River area native Sund presents this book celebrating the history of Rogue River through historic photographs. Rogue River's early settlement was defined by instability amidst Native American wars and the constant population flux from gold mining. The town was originally called Tailholt, it later became Woodville, and in 1912 became known as Rogue River in honor of the adjacent river by the same. The photographs in this volume depict the lives of early settlers and the changes occurring during the twentieth century. The volume will appeal to those with an interest in Oregon history.
