Margaret F. Steig (Dalton) is a professor in the University of Alabama School of Library and Information Studies. She is the author ofChange and Challenge in Library and Information Science Education, written with a grant from the Council on Library Resources, andPublic Libraries in Nazi Germany, for which she received the first Fraenkel Prize in Contemporary History. She has also been the recipient of a University of Alabama Burnum Distinguished Faculty Award and the ALISE Award for Professional Contribution to Library and Information Science Education.
