Contains about 900 citations pertinent to the study of the three operas on which Mozart and Da Ponte collaborated as composer and librettist Le nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni, and Cosi fan tutte. Approximately 88 percent of the books, book sections, journal articles, and dissertations include abstracts. The items included are almost exclusively English, German, French, or Italian language materials based on a review of many sources, and exclude publications aimed at the opera lover rather than at the scholar. Entries are grouped according to the operas to which they pertain, with general works and works pertaining to all three operas in the opening chapter.
