My Hero Is... ― Someone in My Family

The first of the Hero books is here. Creation of this book, and others to come, is designed, written and illustrated with pre - readers and beginning readers in mind. The text and illustrations match to encourage logical interpretation of the message on each page. With rhyme, imbedded sight words and phonetic application, children can confidently try to interpret the message. Using their background knowledge and experience in familiar play activities, the colorful and endearing illustrations will encourage and delight children in the reading process in terms of enticing insightful thinking about the text on each page. Academic construction and creation of a pre-reader and beginning reader book is the key in facilitating successful beginning reading in 3 to 7 year olds. The Hero books are designed to accomplish that and help children discover that they can and will become confident readers one day.
