商品簡介
Sociologist Domanski explores the nature of prestige; the ubiquitous and frequently theorized problem of the transition from traditional, status-based systems to contract-based market societies; and prospects for the formation of new social classes in his native Poland. He covers what prestige is, sources and varieties of prestige, status societies and contract societies, the content and impact of prestige norms in Poland, how Poles define prestige, the subjective relevance of prestige, and functions of prestige.
