Becoming a Master Student, Concise ― Houghton Mifflin Assessment and Portfolio Builder

This online personal development tool engages students in self-assessment, critical thinking, and goal setting activities to prepare them for college and the workplace. Students build a portfolio by responding to questions about their skills, attitudes, values, and behaviors in four key life areas: Personal, Interpersonal, Career, and Community. The Accomplishments Report summarizes the results of their responses, and asks students to provide supporting evidence for questions where they rate themselves as highly proficient?great practice for critical thinking skills, as well as creating a resume or preparing for interviews. The Accomplishments Report module also provides access to additional resources such as Houghton Mifflin's web-based Career Resource Center, which provides tips, exercises, articles, and ideas to help students succeed on their journey from college to career.
