商品簡介
Ten essays on mediatized conflicts are divided into three parts organized thematically. Part 1, "Transnational Networks," examines global dimensions of mediatized conflicts. Chapters discuss Greenpeace media campaigns, and online discussion forums and blogs concerning the financial crisis in Europe. Part 2, "Mobilising the Personal: Crossing Public and Private Boundaries," looks at political scandal and the personalization of political figures in the media. Part 3, "Military, War, and Media," considers: how the intertwined processes of mediatization and globalization affect military activities; the military's own media and communications strategies; and the use of digital cameras to change the conditions of reporting and witnessing war atrocities.
