Candy Carson is the New York Times bestselling co-author of America the Beautiful, One Nation, and A More Perfect Union, which she wrote with her husband, Dr. Ben Carson. She is co-founder of the Carson Scholars Fund, a nonprofit organization that identifies and rewards high academic achievers and encourages students to develop a lifelong love of learning. She is a graduate of Yale University and has an MBA from Johns Hopkins University. A talented musician, she has arranged and conducted for several groups including the University of Maryland Medical Center Chamber Players. She and Dr. Carson live in Florida and have three adult sons, three lovely daughters-in-law, and two beautiful granddaughters.
