商品簡介
Arising from a workshop held at the Tinbergen Institute in Amsterdam in April 2013, Nijkamp, Poot, and Bakens present 16 original, quantitative and international contributions on the economics of cultural diversity. Citing the significant growth of cross-border mobility and migration in recent decades, and with more than 3 percent of the world’s population recorded as immigrant, this volume provides discourse and debate on the socio-economic implications of cultural diversity from quantitative, statistical and econometric perspectives with studies from Europe and North America. The book aims to inspire authors to respond to the significant remaining research challenges in this field. Sixteen chapters are divided into three parts: socio-economic determinants of cultural diversity; cultural segregation and sorting; socio-economic impacts of cultural diversity.
