商品簡介
Archaeological surveys and excavations were carried out at the site of a residential housing development on the coast of Yorkshire in northeastern England from 1999 to 2004. The most remarkable finds were traces of three Neolithic buildings, and other evidence of repeated occupation over a period of 500 years from the later fourth to the beginning of the third millennia BC. Archaeologists involved in the project detail the Neolithic occupation, but also the later Iron Age and Romano-British period, and possible post-Roman and Anglo-Saxon occupation. A final chapter explains environmental analyses and radiocarbon dating. Distributed in North America by The David Brown Book Co. Annotation c2010 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
