商品簡介
Kesler (applied linguistics, Paderborn U., Germany) and 12 co-contributors provide a collection of 11 papers based on Manfred Pienemann's Processability Theory (PT) and recent studies within that framework that extend the theory and its application in teaching contexts. Many of the papers originally were presented at the 6th International Symposium on Processability, Second Language Acquisition and Bilingualism held at the U. of Malta in September 2006. Pienemann himself wrote the introduction to PT. Topics of the papers include lexical functional grammar, processability aspects of second language development and second language learning, language typology and PT, profiling oral second language development, and works in progress. The collection is consistently well-written. Annotation c2009 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
